Our art collection has over 1300 works. These are mainly by Scottish artists and cover the period, 1950 to the present day. As well as having significant bodies of work from established figures like Alan Davie, Wilhelmina Barns-Graham and Barbara Rae we also support emerging and mid- career artists by adding to our collection each year. Many works have been gifted or loaned and others have been purchased. All require a level of care, and we need to meet the on-going collection costs relating to conservation and maintenance, curation, insurance and storage.
Adopting an artwork is a way of getting to know the collection and contributing to its future development. For £3 per month you can adopt an artwork wither for yourself, or as a gift.

When you Adopt an Artwork you will be receive:
- Two newsletter per annum
- Invitations to three exclusive events per annum – Spring, Autumn and Winter
- Opportunities to hear about new acquisitions and meet artists
- Priority access to limited-edition card sets
- Occasional discount offers on our range of limited-edition prints
The work that you have selected will also be added to our on-line exhibition, featuring all adopting works. Your support can be acknowledged on the site, if this feels appropriate.
To Adopt an Artwork
Perhaps there is an artist, artistic period of particular theme that you are interested in. If so please let us know and we will make some suggestions for works within our collection that may be of interest. We ask that you sign up for a minimum of one year, at £3 per month.
